On July 16, EFF filed an aggressive new court case to secure freedom from the illegal spying programs unleashed on the public. At the same time, we launched our first official membership drive. In one month, we gained 2,479 new and renewing members. That's pretty awesome. We're proud to defend users’ rights alongside the largest membership EFF has had in its 23-year history; thank you for being a part of that. The drive may be over, but the fight to protect digital civil liberties is certainly not. Member support enables us to make that fight.
