Hi ,
When I think about why I love the internet, I think about how video games let me connect with family and friends.
Even in the early '90s, EFF's first years, games were a big part of the web. From the Steve Jackson Games case that started EFF to browser-based video games today, gaming communities thrive online. Heck, video games even inspire a bunch of EFF's t-shirt designs and graphics.

But with our lives being increasingly connected to the internet, there are new ways for things to go wrong: companies may censor your speech, advertisers can spy on your browsing, and trackers can even invade your privacy in growing platforms like VR.
These fights can be challenging, but with your support, EFF can power up and push back, working towards our goal of an online world that connects, inspires, and rebalances power.
power up
EFF is only able to continue our fight with your help. Right now during Power Up week—just like Mario when he grabs a golden star or Samus when she puts on her suit— your donation gets supercharged, making double the impact. This means every dollar you give becomes two for your rights online.
So grab that star and power up your support for a better digital future. Donate to EFF today!
